A nice drawing by Caden. He calls this sad face and angry face. But sad face on the left looks happy while the angry face on the right seems unrecognizable. Think he is too happy to draw anything negative. Hahaha.

I was scolding Caden, "Do you know your attitude is very bad? You are such a little brat!"

Caden asks me, "Then Papa can eat me?"

"Brat lar! Not bread!"

Caden's progress in GUG

Cadet has been improving after Chinese New Year holidays. He has been crying so much less often. We are all so relieve about this. Hopefully he will one day really enjoy his school.

Caden's progress at Growing Up Gifted

Yesterday Caden went for his lesson at gug again. This time he did not make a din or much noise when por-por was outside the class. He didn't cry. He was trying very hard to fight back his tears por-por says his eyes were red only.
We were very very proud of him, as we understand that he tried real hard not to cry.
I felt pretty bad that we scolded him for crying in class and not letting por-por leave the class. And I thought about this; why scold for not attaining perfection when we can praise and encourage for the progress.
Bottom-line is, Caden, you done very well, papa, mama and por-por are very proud of you!

Mama has a small day surgery

Yesterday, dear had a minor procedure at mount alvernia hospital.
She has been having vomiting and reflux issues. So the doc had to do a ultra scan and a scope. Thank god everything is fine. No major problem.

We went to taiwan

We went to Taipei last year dec for 5 days. Caden was pretty naughty most of the time as he cannot sit or stand still. But overall it was an enjoyable trip. Will post up more photos. Teaching maths to caden;
I put up 4 fingers to show number 4. Then brought down 2 fingers to show 4-2=2.
Then I ask caden to do 8-6. Ask him to show me 8 using his fingers. He form a circle using his index finger and thumb on both hands and join then together to show a figure 8. Should I be annoyed or laugh?

It's been a while

It has been such a while that I have uploaded to this blog. Since then cadet has grown so much. 2011 is here, it's a new year. Will try to upload more often.

Since last week, Caden has been off the pacifier. He woke up last Tuesday throwing his beloved pacifier into the dustbin. Haha. He says he going to school, he do not need it anymore. But come night time, he was screaming for it. The first 3 days was horrendous as he kept asking for it. Now, everything is back to normal. Kudos to grandma for the persistence and patience. Caden did well too.

Last week also sees Caden going to school without por-por going in. As usual, it was a drama. Crying episode again. In the end, por-por has to sit in. The lesson is only on mon, wed and fri. So far, till now, the crying episodes are softer and less dramatic. And por-por has started moving out of the classroom more often. Caden's teacher from growing up gifted says by this week, they can't let por-por in anymore. But then the teacher isn't putting much confidence in the kids. Well, we told the teacher we will pass her some snacks for caden. Greedy boy sees food, he will forget unhappy things. Fingers crossed.

It's Father's Day

It's father's day today and I recieved a nice little present from Caden and Dear Dear. It's what I always wanted. Liverpool season 10/12 home jersey. Yeah!

Prince Caden

There was a promotion going on at Parkway Parade whereby if you spend more than 80 bucks, your kid will have a chance to dress up as a prince or princess and gets a photo taken.

Dear was determined to get one photo for Caden. And because we had our Father's Day lunch treat for her Dad and Me, we were able to hit that mark. Let's Enjoy the Photos.
