Child Care Leave

Took child care leave today as Caden wasn't feeling too well. However, today he was feeling a lot better so very energetic... I really enjoyed the whole day with him. Tempted to give up my job and be a SAHM. But, standard of living in Singapore does not allow us to do so. Or should I say we prefer to live in 'luxury' than to scrimp and save every cent. I will try to spend as much time with Caden as possible. Thus, being teacher is the only job that I can spend more time with him. So my desire to change of working environment will have to wait a little longer.. But for the sake of my precious, I know its worth it.

Poor Caden

Caden vomitted this morning after his first meal. However, I was only told abt it in the afternoon as I was busy with lesson today. Every monday is my terrible day.. With 7 periods in total and only 1 short break with coincide with students' recess time. The only time I can settle down is about 3pm. I called home and found out that the poor boy vomitted after his first meal and even fell down and had a cut on his lips in the afternoon. After putting aside all my stuff, I rushed a cab back home.

The silly boy is still as playful as ever. Dun think he remembered his pain though I can see that he felt uncomfortable about his wound as he kept using his tongue to lick it. I companied him to sleep.

In the evening, deardear and I together with my mum, we brought him to Doc Ong for a check on him. Doc Ong can't find any problem about his vomitting so ask us to monitor him. As for his lips, doctor gave us a medicine for the wound to heal faster. However, he seems to feel some pain as we applied on his wound. Poor boy. So I decided to stay at home to monitor him tomorrow. At the same time, to monitor my maid too. She is getting more and more careless. Must remind her the appropriate things to do.

Boring Sat

Its a boring saturday. Deardear worked whole day so Caden and I have to stay at home and wait for deardear to come home. When deardear is home, Caden is already taking his afternoon nap... And so we went to take a nap too.. Guess what, the three pigs woke up at 7pm.. So we decided not to go out anymore.. Thinking maybe tomolo will bring him out early in the morning to pray for his 17th month bday. So its a boring sat afterall...

Vain Caden

My dear boy is really getting more and more vain. He knows that he should wear his sunglass when he goes out. Heard from my dad that he wore the sunglass when my cousin Chongzhi brought them out with granny for lunch in the afternoon.

Just now, my mum wanna bring him to Sheng Siong. Guess what? He looked for his sunglass before going out and insisted on wearing the one that my mother in law bought for him. Such a vain baby.

OTO Power Tap

Deardear bought me a OTO Power Tap as he noticed that I have been having backache and migraine recently. Two days ago, I even had a terrible migraine that I almost vomitted. So deardear have been wanting to get me the Power Tap so that I can have my back massaged while I am doing my work in the evening.

After our dinner at Hotspot, we went to OG for a walk as my dad wanna to enjoy the aircon. While shopping around, deardear went to have a look at OTO Power Tap and my mum went to look at sunglass for Caden. Finally deardear decided to get the Power Tap for me at the price of $298 with some free gifts. And my mum bought Caden a stylo sunglass as she felt that the one my mother in law bought for him is too feminine.

First Bike for Caden

Today, my mum bought a new bike for Caden while we were walking round my neighbourhood. We found out that there is a bike shop in our neighbour and saw a nice toddler bike. After purchasing the bike, my mum immediately let Caden ride the new bike all the way home. Guess what, my precious loved it so much that he refused to get down the bike to walk or even to go into the house.. Haha.. What a silly boy. But I am really glad he loves it. This is his first bike and we will buy other kind of bikes for him as he grows older.

Baby Elijah's First Month celebration

Today is my colleague's Wan Nah boy's first month celebration. She invited my whole family to Furama RiverFront for celebration of her boy's first month.

We arrived there very early as we intend to go back early for Caden's lunch. She only invited some of our colleagues and my boss, Mr Low. The buffet lunch is great and we enjoyed the lunch alot. At the same time, I also enjoyed the time spent with my colleagues as most of them are my better friends. The naughty boy is kind of the limelight as everyone tried to take pic with him. He also tried to attract attention to himself by shouting for deardear and me when we went to get food and screaming for 'mum mum' as we eat. My boss was so engrossed with him as he mentioned that his wife wants a boy after seeing Caden the other time. He also said that Caden is very good looking. Of course, he is my boy... Like mother like son.. haha... Even the waitresses and waiters are playing with Caden too. He really knows how to attract attention. Silly boy...

However, we have to leave early as he has to eat his porridge at home. Though many of my colleagues wanna to spend more time with him, we have to go off at 1 plus. But we left them the pic of Caden as he posed to take pics with all the pretty teachers. haha...

Down with Fever...

Caden is down with fever today. Received a call from Tita at 1.30pm to inform me about his temp - 37.7 degrees. I immediately packed up and took a cab home. Then I brought him to Doc Ong. According to Doc Ong, Caden does not have any symptoms of flu or sore throat. He suspected its some virus or fake measles since Caden had slight fever on Sun too. He said faked measles will have fever as symtoms for 4 days and outbreak of rashes on the 5th day onwards. Today is the 4th day since his fever on Sunday. Thus, we will have to monitor if there will be outbreak of rashes tomorrow. I do hope its just some virus for fever and no more else... Though Caden is still so happy and alert, my heart breaks when I sees his temp rising or his body feeling hot.

Praying hard that he will get well soon...

Sushi Tei at Big Splash

To make up for our monthiversary celebration, deardear decided to bring us out for dinner tonight. We decided to go to some where special and I chose Sushi Tei at Big Splash. Its a rainy night. But we were lucky. We arrived there before the rain started and left after the heavy downpour.

As there was lots of people, we had to wait for a while. As a result, we went round the Big Splash and found some exciting places like the Lilliputt (indoor golf), an interesting Bike shop, some good food etc... If we have more time and the weather is better, we would spend more time there...

Anyway, I still enjoy the sumptous dinner. Thanks deardear and esp Caden for warming and brightening up the cold and stormy night.

Hotel Re...

Today we went to Hotel Re for lunch with my in laws. My sisters in law worked in the company that own Hotel Re thus they suggested to go there for lunch as they have staff discount and can get good food.

At around 10 plus, deardear and I bathed Caden and prepared for the lunch date. After the bath, we decided to take some pic of Caden lying on our bed as he looks real cute and sexy.. hehe..

We left home at around 12.20pm as I had terrible stomach upset before leaving. Actually I wanna give it a miss but my sister in law has made reservation and I do not want to disappoint them as I know they are dying to see Caden.

We arrived at Hotel Re at 12.45pm as my father in law came to pick us up. The hotel looks small and cozy. The food in the Re!Fill Cafe is quite nice and inexpensive. After lunch, we had the privilege to look at 2 of the rooms. They both looked retro and cozy. According to my sis in law, they have staff discount if we are interested. But the place seems quite out of place though. They even have spa which includes manicure, pedicure, massage, hydrobath and facial.

After walking around the hotel, my father in law drove us back as Caden is very tired.

What a way to celebrate our Monthiversary?

Today is the 8th again. As I am still down with illness, deardear feels that we should not go out to eat. So we ended up eating at home. However, deardear bought me an ice-cream cake to celebrate our 65th monthiversary.

But after our dinner, while cleaning Caden up, we noticed the rashes at his bottom again. We have noticed it in the morning. Yet after applying the aloe vera gel, it was better. Just now, he pooed again in his diaper and the rashes is back. Deardear and I rushed him to see Doc Ong. According to Doc Ong, he is down with nappy rash. Doc Ong checked his stomach too and noticed there is some churning sound. He might be having diarrhoe thus the poo is acidic and causing his bottom to have nappy rash. Poor Caden.. Its really painful no wonder he cried whenever we tried to clean his bottom. Its really heartbreaking to see him cry till so bad. Doc Ong gave him a medicine for his diarrhoe and a cream for his nappy rash. Lets hope he will get well soon.

After arriving home, deardear took out the cake and Caden blew the off the flame on the candle. Fed him with 2 spoons of ice-cream and get him to sleep.
