Another haircut

Mum brought Caden for haircut this evening. He has been perspiring so often recently that my mum decided to bring him for a haircut... Cut it short...

Ear Procedure at Orchard Surgery Centre

This morning, my mum and I brought Caden to the Orchard Surgery Centre to have his ears' wax removed and do a ear test on him. Its indeed a traumatic event for Caden. We left home at around 8.30am. He is not supposed to have any food since 5 am. Last night, he woke up at 1 plus to 3 plus crying. Maybe he knew about it and it worried.. At 4.30am, my mum made milk for him so that it can last him till after the procedure.

We arrived at the centre at 9am and waited to 9.45am for Caden turn. While waiting, the silly boy played with balls that we brought there, walked here and there in his surgery suit.. Such an active boy. Then finally its his turn. Only I am allowed to go in. The nurses and the anesthetist had to force him down so that he will fall asleep with the anesthesia. He had to cry to sleep.. Its such a terrible sight to see.. His whole face was red.. At the end of the procedure, he was pushed out of the operating theatre crying... My god.. I was really heartbroken. Did I make a wrong move? He finally managed to settle down after some time. After an hour, he is back to his usual self. This silly boy is really a dear...

However, I am really angry with the ENT specialist Dr K Soh. He overcharge us (which is said by his nurse) and explained that he had given Caden more ex stuff as Caden is still a toddler. Moreover he mentioned that my son is fine so why am I so bothered about the few hundred dollars. He even told me that he is the doctor so I should listen to him and not the nurse. I am really pissed with such morally moron and lack of medical ethics doc. Why is there such a doc in the world? But I believe in retribution, so I did not argue with him. It will come to him one day... As for me, I am just glad that Caden is fine and I will take it as 破财消灾.

2nd outbreak of rashes

Caden had a second outbreak of rashes on Thursday. However, Doc Ong did not have any session in the afternoon, we decided to observe him him again and bring him down on Fri since my mum took a whole day leave on Fri.

According to Doc Ong, Caden had faked measles. Thus gave him a Calamol lotion and said that it will heal over the weekend. Poor Caden..

After work, I met my mum and Caden at Tampines Mall for dinner. Hoping to let him enjoy himself outside since he loves 'gai gai' so much. At 7 plus, we heard an old lady giving us some advice of bathing Caden in a medical herbs to ease the itch and reduce the rash. We went to Hock Hua Medical Shop and bought the herb and rushed home immediately to boil the herbs so that we can bathe him in the herbs.

Pray hard it will work well for him.. Sigh... Though he is still very active and energetic despite of his illness, I am really sad seeing him like that... Get well soon my precious..

Deardear is away again...

Deardear has gone off to India again this morning. I was not able to send him off as I have lessons. Thus, I woke up early and took a cab with him to my sch first. He will be away for another 10 days... That means he will miss Caden's procedure for the ear on Monday. I had to take child care leave to bring Caden for the procedure. This coming weekend, there is no more family outing as deardear not at home.. Sigh... This week and next week will be a no men weeks as my dad is also away for holidays... Misses deardear...

Visit to Thomson Medical Centre

Another visit to the doctor...

Caden's rashes has turn for the worse. I am really worried that its measles as he had not taken his 1 to 2 year shot. Deardear and I rushed him to the Thomson Medical Centre as Doc Ong is attached there. I get the nurse to call him and ask if it's possible to be measles. Luckily Doc Ong said its not possible so I let the resident doctor to check on Caden. According to the resident doctor, it might be viral rashes (rashes that developed after high fever). It can also be allergy to antibiotic and high fever medicine (Nurofen). So we decided to stop the medicine for the time being which I know Caden will be very happy as he hated all the medicine. The doctor also said that there isn't anymore redness in his throat which I am really glad. However, due to the strong antibiotic, his stomach has not been feeling well - he had 3 times of diarrhae and vomitted twice yesterday. Poor boy and his asshole is sore due to his diarrhae.

I have decided to spare him of the trauma so I have cancelled his procedure tomorrow. Just want him to concentrate on his recovery and get well soon esp before deardear flies off to India for 2 weeks. Sigh... Want Caden to have the love of his both parents during his most miserable time.

Fever subsided..

Finally his fever has subsided completely. Caden had been crying lots recently as he hated to eat his medicine esp his antibiotic and fever medicine. We had to wake him up in the middle of the night to feed him fever medicine to bring down his temp. Its seems the most cruel thing I am doing to him.. Its really heartbroken to see him cry like nobody business. He kept calling for me to carry him. I think he wanted me to help him but I know I have to be cruel and forced him to eat the medicine as its for his own good. But I really feel very sorry for him and that I can't protect him as his mother.

I am glad his fever has subsided. But today we brought him to Doc Ong again. Doc Ong said that his throat is still sore so he might need to take a bit more time to recover. However, in the evening, his body has developed some rashes. I am glad as he will normally develop rashes once his fever subsided. Lets hope that his rashes will reduced soon.

Oral thrush

Deardear is on leave today, as Caden's fever is still fluctating though he is on high fever medication. Deardear wanna stay at home and monitor Caden.

At 12 plus, I heard that Caden is suspected of HFMD. I immediately asked for permission to leave school early as I do not have anymore lesson in the afternoon. Luckily my VP and HOD are very understanding. I wanted to be there for Caden when such things happen. Luckily according to Doc Ong, its just oral thrush. Oral thrush is a very common infection in infants that causes irritation in and around the baby's mouth. However, Caden find it very irritating and refused to eat much, unlike his normal self. I always call him a greedy boy as he always ask for food. Now I really hope that he will ask me for food. I take back my words that he is a greedy boy. He has lost his weight just after 2 days for illness. I am very heartbroken.

Praying hard that he will recover soon. Hoping that his fever will subside soon.

High Fever...

Caden is down with high fever... Its horrible. After monday's ENT check, I was so relieved that Caden is fine. However, he developed high fever last night and according to Doc Ong, he might have ear infection.. I was so pissed as how come the ENT specialist did not noticed it on monday. Or how come medicine for flu and sore throat was not given. Sigh... Mum took half day leave to bring Caden to see Doc. I rushed down after school to meet up with them. He is very cranky maybe he felt miserable and terrible inside his body. I am really very sad...

ENT Visit at Mount Elizabeth

Caden has been very cranky last night. He cried a few times maybe because his nose is blocked and he is uncomfortable about it. I woke up a few times and at 2 plus in the morning, I decided to take child care leave instead of my mum.My mum suggested to go visit a ENT specialist as he is always digging his ear and have been having flu very often. I called Doc Ong to recommend a ENT specialist who also sees toddler like Caden. So I got the contact of Doc Kevin Soh at Mount E. Made an appt for 11 am and brought Caden down.When we arrived there, the nurse prepared me for some tools they will be using on Caden. So the Doc checked on Caden's ear and found that his ear is full of wax and needed to be cleared off as it is affecting his hearing. And Doc will also want to look at the ear drum so as to make sure his ear is fine. Caden will be on ear drops for a week and go back for ear wax removal on next tues. After that, the doc checked on Caden's nose and throat using the nasal endoscopy. Caden cried so terribly as he felt uncomfortable and disliked being held down by people. I had to hold his head, Tita hold his hand and the nurse hold his leg. Poor baby...According to the doc, his throat is fine but his nose wall is a little thicker than others thus the frequent nose block. However, its still not too bad now. Will have to see how he will be when he grows up. He was given 2 bottles of syrup Dhatifen (allergy of ear, nose and throat - something like tonic) and 1 bottle of ear drop.

At night, we had a simple birthday celebration for Dear Dear. We ordered some stir-fry stuff like Hor Fun, Yee Mian, Fried Rice and 2 pizza back for dinner. At night, Dear Dear was presented with his favourite 1KG mango cake, bought from the yummy Le Cafe Pastry. Caden enjoy his cake totally.

Mama's new Haircut..

Weather has been very hot. So I decided to have a new short haircut.. Haha... I went to my hairstylist and said I wanted my hair to be short easy to maintain. So he cut... When I put on my glasses, I was really shocked by the shortness of my hair. But on one hand its good as I no need to worry about styling my hair and perspiring a lot.. Haha...

Pre-celebration for Deardear's Bday

Its deardear's bday on coming monday. I wanted to celebrate for him as our small little family. This morning, we took a cab to East Coast beach. Teaches Caden how to build sand castle and enjoy the waves.

The first words that came out from his mouth when we took of his shoes and let him step on the sand were "eee eee". My god.. He is a boy.. How can he be afraid of getting dirty? Must train him more. He refuses to step on the sand. Cling very hard on me and refused to let go. I had no choice but to carry him. Deardear decided to buy sand castle building set to entice him. Indeed it worked. He managed to stand on the sand but refused to move. Never mind.. One step at a time. He eventually dared to collect water from the waves which he initially was also afraid of.

We stayed for less than 1 hour then proceed to Parkway Parade for lunch and shopping. Finally, deardear and I bought him a balloon pet - St Bernard. He loves it so much and kept pulling the string of St Bernard shopped the whole of Parkway Parade.

Then he pooed... My god.. As usual... So we had to rush home to clean him up.

Hi 5 Live show

Caden had the privilege to watch the Hi 5 Live show today as Chloe was down with stomach flu. Actually Ah yee bought tickets to bring Chloe for the show as Caden was too young for it. However, Chloe was not feeling well since yesterday. Thus, Ah Yee decided to bring Caden along.

Tita had prepared for Caden to sleep in the late morning so that he will not feel tired in the afternoon. At around 3.15 pm, Ah Yee and I brought Caden on a cab to Singapore Indoor Stadium. The show started at around 4 pm. The story is about the 5 of them trying to plan a surprise birthday party for Chats. Quite interesting and interactive for the kids. First time I attend a live show with so much interactive and responses. Caden seems to enjoy himself too. He was very engrossed watching the show and at the same time eating the bread given by great grandmother. He amused Ah Yee so much by dancing halfway and asking for 'mum mum'. Haha...

After the show, Ah Yee bought a shirt for Chloe and I bought one for Caden. Though my precious kept asking for the Jup-jup stuff toy. But I know my mum will kill me if I buy it for him. Haha...
