Today, baby Caden went to my parents' place. As I am new in taking care of Caden during my maternity leave, deardear and I have decided to move to my parents' place during weekdays and go back our house during weekend. The reason being, my dad is at home to help me. Moreover, my grandmother stays next door so she can also help out. Looking forward to my days alone with baby Caden.
Yeah today is my confinement nanny's last day... Finally she is gone.. Guess what? She even tell me thank you.. I wonder what is she thanking me for? For telling her off? For the $1800 that she dun deserve? Anyway, I am just glad that she is gone. And I'll be having my pizza celebration later. Haha...
As my mum's side relatives are not able to make it last week. We have another 1st month celebration today. We had "zi cha" at my place downstairs. However due to the heavy rain, we are not able to enjoy the meal. While waiting for the rain to cease, deardear and I took some pic of our precious. I really love his pic esp the one whereby he wears the cap that deardear bought for his 1st month bday.
Today is Caden's 1st month birthday. Yesterday deardear and I went to United Square and bought him a gift. I bought him a jumper and a pair of shoes. As for deardear, he bought Caden a cute cap. Finally Caden is a month old. I remembered rushing Caden to KK Hospital in the middle of the night, clearing his poo poo, worrying about his daily feed, protecting him from thunder sound, sleeping with him in the afternoon and night, playing with him and massaging him etc. So many things happened this month. However, I really enjoyed taking care of my little precious looking at how much he has changed during this one month.
Today deardear and I brought Caden baby for his first vaccination jab - Hep B jab. I am kind of worried that he might cry non-stop after the jab. But deardear assured me that Caden is a brave boy. Indeed baby is a brave boy. He just cried for a short while after the jab and stopped while we tried to pacify him. After which, we decided to buy baby something as a reward his bravery. Deardear bought him a pumpkin baby cap and I bought baby a jumper with a pair of shoes.
Deardear and I have organised this 1st month celebration for Caden today as it's a sunday. We have invited our relatives, friends and colleagues. Its a buffet session. Before all the guests arrived, the confinement nanny cut some of Caden's hair as a tradition.
At around 12 pm, most of our guests arrived. It was really a busy day. At about 5pm, most of the guests left and we have to clear up all the mess. There was lots of food that was left behind. Lucky my aunt came by to help us with the food. After all the clearing up, we were so tired.. And baby Caden is also very tired after all the entertaining today. Haha..
Today is an unlucky friday. Though today is Good Friday holiday, I had a terrible day. Early in the morning, I was awaken by Caden's crying. He was screaming at the top of voice at 2 am in the morning. When I went to the living room, I saw the confinement nanny feeding him. However, he did not seems to be hungry. I questioned the nanny why did she feed him now as his next feed should be at 3am. She claimed that he was crying terribly. Yet, she never checked on other aspects. After taking over from the nanny, I found out that baby diaper's was wet. I was really pissed then. At about 10 plus in the morning, I asked the aunty again why she fed baby at 2 am and reminded her that baby has a weak stomach so must follow the time. She mentioned that she was nervous when baby was crying so loudly last night and insisted that baby was hungry. I gave up and had a terrible argument with her. I intended to dismiss her as I felt that she did not take good care of baby. However, my mum is worried that I can't handle Caden on my own. Therefore, I decided to bear with her for one more week, but on the condition that I will take care of baby on my own and she will only need to cook and do housechores for me. Sigh.. Its really a black friday for me.. Wonder how will the week go...
The confinement nanny is here. She is the neighbour of my aunty. She will be taking care of caden and me during this one month. As Caden is still small and "fragile", we are not that capable of taking care of him. As for me, I am not supposed to bathe, touch water and go out for this one month. The confinement nanny will cook, boil "da feng cao" and make "bu pin" for me.
