Life Saving...

Monday, March 30, 2009

I been having weird feeling at my left jaw recently. Thus, rushed down to NDC for my surgeon to have a check as I worried that my jaw will drop... Sounds scary though but luckily according to my surgeon my jaws are fine. and the screws holding the lower jaw to the upper jaw are tightly screwed...

The reason why I panic when I felt something weird at my jaw is because I used to have a jaw surgery 13 years ago. So I am worried that my lower jaw will dropped at the screws might loosen. Lucky for me, everything is still fine. However, I am asked to eat soft food for 1 month and go back for follow up next month.

After the dental check, deardear and I took a bus to People Park's Complex for lunch. And at the bus stop, we saw an old man lying on the floor and his face was purplish. Deardear immediately went forward to help the old man to do CPR, whereas I ran to look for a doctor from a nearby clinic and informed the information counter of the building. Lucky for the old man, deardear knows CPR. His face turned red after taking a deep breath when deardear was performing CPR for him. We waited for more than 15 min for the ambulance. Its indeed a life and death matter. I was so scared too. And I can see that deardear is trying hard to keep the old man alive. As for the doctor I gotten from the nearby clinic, she is not really helping much though. Maybe she is an old doctor. The security guards of the building also came to see but they are of no help too. One of them even took a pen and pressed it against the old man's hand. The pen eventually broke as he was pressing too hard. And he kept saying the old man has no grip so he should be gone. Such a stupid logic... Not helpful at all.. Sigh..

Glad that deardear is around to help. He has helped the old man to keep alive till the ambulance arrived. Indeed its impt to learn how to do CPR in times like this. Wonder how is the old man. Hope he is fine so that deardear's effort will not go down the drain.

Kudo to deardear... Caden, aren't you proud to have such a pa pa?

Last trial at Little Neuro Tree

Sunday, March 29, 2009

Today is the last trial for LNT. Its the Jap class. I was a little apprehensive before attending the lesson with Caden as I do not know about Jap language. Worried that I will not be able to understand anything and hence can't teach our precious.

Before deardear and I bring Caden for the lesson, it started to pour very heavily. Thus, I have to wrapped Caden in the baby carrier to prevent any rain from touching him. Really very protective. Sometimes I wonder why I am so protective of him. He is a boy so must learn to be strong and independent like deardear. However, I think its the maternal instinct of me to protect him no matter what.

After we have arrived at LNT, we are again the only one for the lesson. As we are the only student in the class, the sensei spent all her time in coaching baby and I found it easy to learn the language and follow the lesson too.

At the end of the lesson, I checked with the admin clerk and she said that she has found another baby to come for this lesson in the next term so we can carry at LNT at this time slot.. So Caden Teo will be starting the next term with LNT on 12 April 2009.

Photogenic Baby

Saturday, March 28, 2009

Today deardear worked till 2 pm. I had a great time with baby in the morning by bringing him down to buy lunch and feed him his porridge.

After deardear came back, we decided to go to Parkway Parade to shop. Arrived at Parkway parade at 4 plus and walked around the shopping centre. Then we went to have our dinner. After dinner, we carried on walking and saw the Juzz 1 shop having a free photo shoot. So our little family decided to take a family photo of ourselves.

Then the vain mama saw a promotion by Bonafide for face and eye facial - some sort of lifting for face and lightening of dark eye ring. So I decided to try since its $28 for one trial. After the trial, the therapist kept persuading me to buy the package. Lucky my precious Caden kept calling for me to carry him so I managed to escape from their constant bombarding...

After which, we rushed home as Caden's diaper leaked and he felt very uncomfortable.

Upon reaching home, we put him to bed after cleaning him up.. Silly boy.. But really happy today as I heard from deardear that he kept calling me while I am doing my 15 min of facial and refuses to go away to other places without me. After my facial, he clinged on to me and refused to let go.. hehe.. Really make my day...

Caden's 13th Month Birthday

Thursday, March 26, 2009

Today is Caden's 13 months birthday. Already a year since his first month celebration. Time really flies..
Gong Gong and Po Po brought him out after dinner as deardear and I came home late. Gong Gong even bought him a small cake to celebration his birthday. When they reached home, we sang birthday song and let the naughty boy to blow his cake since he already knows how to blow...

Caden fell and hit his head!!!

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

My precious fell down today and hit his head. I was on way walking home when my mummy called me and told me about it. She sounded so panicky and worried. Insisted that I should bring him to Doc Ong as the side of head was all red and bruises. Kept saying I blame her when I asked her what has happened.

Actually, Caden was very careless esp now that he has learnt to walk. After his night bath, my mummy was cleaning up the room while Tita was eating. Caden was left in the living room to play on his own. When he saw my mummy came out of the room, he followed her to the kitchen and slipped and fell as he stepped on a book. I was really angry!! Not with my mummy but with Tita... Why is she eating when my mummy is doing so many things? Actually, I feel that sometimes my mummy is also very protective of Tita. Let her eat first and do all the household chores herself plus taking care of Caden. Today's accident occurs as she does everything herself.

When we reached home, we rushed Caden to Doc Ong. According to Doc Ong, Caden seems ok. However as Caden has injured the softer part of the head which is the side of the head. He has to be monitored closely for 24 hours. If there is any vomitting, giddiness and weird behaviour, we have to rush him to A&E immediately.

Some pics of Caden enjoying himself - Know that he just want to assure us.. Dun wanna us to be worried... Good boy

He is still knows where to dig for coins after the ride has ended shows that his brain is still working I believe... Hehe.. Naughty and cheeky boy...

Planned to take child care leave tomorrow to take care of him but I have an important event going on. Sigh... Caden, you will be blessed... You will be fine.. Papa and Mama loves you...

Second Trial at Little Neuro Tree

Sunday, March 22, 2009

Today is the second trial for Caden at the Little Neuro Tree. Deardear went in with our precious today.

Seems like he is more well-behaved and he seems to be able to understand what the teacher was talking about. He could answer most the questions correctly. He was enjoying more of the lesson today... Guess he is more used to English language as we often talk to him in this language, esp Tita who is taking care of him most of the time. Will have to talk to him more in other languages or even dialect.

According to the person in charge, children at their age will get used to the lesson as they attend more and will be more attentive as days go by...

Deardear and I are more convinced in letting him carry on with his lesson in Little Neuro Tree.

Morning Walk along the Southern Ridges

Saturday, March 21, 2009

Planned to wake up earlier today as we have planned to take a walk along Hort Park with the whole stretch of road to Vivo City.

However, after all the preparation work and deardear and I staying in bed till 8.45am, we left home at around 10.15am.

On the way to our destination, Caden Teo fell asleep on the taxi. So we have to carry him and walk. When we arrived at the Alexandra Arch, the taxi driver just tell us to go up the bridge and walk towards the left direction. So we listened... Little did we know that we are moving away from Hort Park though we are walking in the direction of Vivocity. As we walked and walked along the forest trail after the Alexandra arch, we came to the Telok Blangah Hill. Thats where the map showing that we should turn right after alighting from the taxi and not going up the Alexandra Arch. However, no more turning back. As we walked up the slope to catch a glimpse of the Telok Blangah Hill, Caden Teo began to rub his eyes.. Finally, baby has awaken up to carry on the journey with us. We stopped for a while as Tita feed him with his milk.

Then we carried on the journey towards the Henderson Waves. On our way to Henderson Waves, we saw some students having camp like activities at the playground... We also met up with a pair of old couple taking a stroll to Vivocity while buying bottled drinks (as we have forgotten to bring water).. Haha.. Posed for some pics while on the Henderson Waves then we proceed to walk towards Mount Faber. When we arrived at the Jewel Box, we decided to change Caden's diaper in the toilet. Took a rest at the Jewel Box.. Caden even fed the kio with some fish food.

Finally, we entered our finally trail of Marang Trail before arriving at Vivocity. We ended our 2 km walk at 12.30 pm. About an hour and half of walk and rest..

Beautiful flower....
Happy Family...

We had our lunch at Marche and played in the "Waterground" (dunno what is it called) with the shallow water outside Marche. Caden seems to be a little scared of walking on the water filled ground.. Maybe its rough... maybe he is not used to the water.. After a while, we decided to go home as we are all tired...

Indeed its a very enjoyable family outing...

Deardear on Leave today

Friday, March 20, 2009

Deardear took child care leave today. Wanna spend time with our precious. Sadly ma ma has to go to school so we are left with half day to go out after I came back from school.

As the weather started to turn dark, we decided to abandon our initial plan of going to Singapore Flyer. We ended up going to Tampines Mall to shop. After lunch, we went to NTUC and bought lots of household stuff.. Gosh.. Spent lots of money at one shot... Then we decided to go back and rest as Caden seems a little tired..

Spent the rest of the day resting and enjoy the family time at our Eunos home. Love our home as it feels so serene and peaceful here.

Visit to Papa's office

Wednesday, March 18, 2009

Today is the only day that I need not go to school. Thus, I decided to give deardear a surprise by going to his office before he off work and go home with him.

However, gong gong was so nice to offer us a ride and we ended up an hour earlier at deardear's workplace. So we sat at the canteen and waited for deardear to off work.

During the period of time, luckily I asked Tita to bring Caden's story books. So we read to him and have some lesson with him. He also enjoyed himself in chasing birds that have flown into the canteen and walking up and down the stairs.

At 4.55pm, we went into deardear's office and disturb him. As usual, deardear brought him round the office to show off Caden to his colleagues. At 5 pm, the bell rang and deardear packed up to go off with us.

Night out to Plaza Singapura

Monday, March 16, 2009

As I am having school holiday this week, we have planned to bring our precious out almost every evening. Tonight, we planned to bring Caden to Plaza Singapura as deardear want to get curtain for my mum's place and we have Mothercare voucher which is expiring soon.

As I came home quite late from school today though its holiday, we left home only at 7 plus in the evening. We grab a bite and then started our short shopping at Mothercare. We bought 3 sets of singlets and shorts and a bathrobe for Caden precious.
Then we walked around Plaza Sing for a short while and headed back to my mum's place.

First Trial for Little Neuro Tree

Sunday, March 15, 2009

Finally baby had the first trial for the LNT. The person in charge has been finding babies of the similar age who can make it for our preferred time slot. We have waited for about 3 months. Today, baby finally had a chance to try out the session.

Its the Chinese lesson today, so I accompanied baby in. Deardear was outside waiting. My little precious is one real terror in class.. Making lots of noise.. Even overturn a small cup of drinks given to them to try. The other 2 are girls so they are more demure and quiet. In comparison, my son seems to be very noisy. I had a hard time making him concentrate. He made noise when he is bored. He made noise when we return the activity toys back to teacher. He made noise when he refused to do the activities. Even deardear kept hearing the teacher calling out Caden's chinese name asking him to look at the teacher and concentrate. Haha.. So pai sei..
Some pics of him before the lesson...

Family Outing to East Coast Park

Saturday, March 14, 2009

As I will be having holidays next week, its more relaxed for me this weekend. Thus, deardear and I decided to bring baby Caden to East Coast Park for cycling. Went over to East Coast Park at around 11 plus in the morning. Luckily the weather is not that bad. Started cycling at 11.30am and ended off at 1.30pm. It was indeed an enjoyable ride except some hiccups where the bicycle chain came off. Caden seems to be enjoying himself in the baby seat.. haha.. Of course.. He need not cycle yet can enjoy the scenery and the sea breeze..

"Koala bear" hugging a "BIG FAT TREE"... Haha..

Night out without "po po"

Thursday, March 12, 2009

Tonight 'po po' has to attend a funeral of her colleague's father. Thus, no cooking... So we decided to go out for dinner. Deardear and I planned to go Raffles City as there are some special sales for baby clothes. As a result, we had our dinner there too. Ate at the 街头茶餐厅. Recorded some episode of the greedy boy asking for food while we are eating.. Nowadays its not easy to eat with him by our side.. He will keep saying "mum mum" as if he is so hungry... Greedy little boy... After dinner, we walked around the kids section at the 3rd storey. However, the clothes are real ex even with the discount. We ended up buying only 1 pair of pants from Obaibi. Then we took a bus back home...
