Baby's 1st Deepavali Holiday

Today is a holiday for us.. Mummy stayed over at our place last night. So we decided to bring baby Caden to pray at the Kwan Yin temple in the morning. We woke up at 7 plus with baby and bathed him. After his bath, we walked to the temple and pray. Then we brought breakfast back home to eat.

In the afternoon, mummy cooked a big wok of fried bee hoon. We ate the fried bee hoon for both lunch and dinner. Though it tastes fabulous, its indeed too much to eat it for 2 meals consecutively... Haha..

In the evening, we went back to my mummy's place. Before going back home, we met my dad at Bugis as he wanted to buy a new phone. He ended up spending $268 to but the Nokia 6600. It is small and cool looking. However, if given a choice, I would like to buy Nokia N78. Hehe.. Anyway, I am very happy with N82 for the time being.. No intention to change my phone at all...

Baby Caden's 8th Month Birthday and Sunday before Deepavali (Part 2)

At Century Square, deardear bought baby Caden a new toy - 2 in 1 car & walker.. Deardear wanna started training baby to walk... Thus bought this toy as a birthday present for him.. When we reached home, deardear immediately set up the toy for baby to try.. Look at how much he loves his toy... However, he is not that interested in walking leh.. Sigh.. Lazy boy..

Baby Caden 8th Month Birthday & Sunday Before Deepavali (Part 1)

Today and tomorrow deardear is not working as he is on stand-by only. Lucky for baby Caden and me.. We can go out and celebrate baby's birthday and enjoy the holidays.. Early in the morning, we woke up and bathe baby together as usual.. Dressed him up in a set of new Pooh clothes and combed his "bushy" hair.. He looked so 斯文 in his combed hair.. Haha..

After his bath, 'po po' came over to deliver baby's porridge. After baby finished his porridge, we bring baby out to Tampines Mall shopping. Firstly, we brought baby Caden to mothercare to buy some one-piece nightwear.

After which, we went over to Century Sq's Kiddy Palace. We let him try out the sunglass and some caps. Its like a fashion show for Baby Caden. Haha..

Another Saturday without Papa..

Papa's company seems to have some big thing going on.. Thus papa has to work over the weekend and holidays too. Sigh.. Left with me and baby Caden at home..

And today baby Caden seems extremely cranky.. He seems to be missing papa or not used to stay at eunos or trying to 撒娇to me as I am seldom at home over the weekdays.. Whatever it is, I think he needs a little lecturing..

My domestic helper also seems to need a little lecturing.. Ask her if she has anymore things to do yet she ask me why.. Sigh.. Not a wonderful saturday though..

At about 5 plus, deardear came back and we prepared ourselves for the night out.. Eugene Uncle and Rain Auntie came at around 7pm and we went out for dinner. We went to Popeyes at the Singapore Flyer. Had a very heavy dinner. Baby was cranky again so we had to rush home and put him to sleep.. The little bugger ended up sleeping in Eugene's car on our way home.

A worthwhile day spent with Baby Caden

Today I am on MC. Spent all my time with naughty boy.. So happy that I can finally spend some time with him. Though there isn't much carrying as deardear wanna me to rest my legs, I had lots of fun playing with baby.

I realised that baby's gum are really itchy.. He even ended up eating his Barney. Gosh.. He looks so scary eating Barney.. Haha.. Like a monster eating another monster. Haha..

Deardear and I brought baby to library in the evening as my leg is better due to the pain killers and we have to return the lib books. Took some pic of the silly boy in the lib.. Playing with the rocking chair... Have warned him that lib is a place whereby silence must be observed. However, he kept blabbling things so loudly that everyone in the lib turned to look at him.. So pai sei..

MC at home for 5 days...

Finally have the chance to do a mass uploading of baby's information for the past week on the blog.. Had been very been during the past week as I was busy planning for camp, attending camp, attending meeting, helping graduating students with their 'O's etc...

Maybe not used to walking around, my leg felt some pain when I first went back to school. However, I refuses to see doc as I was so worried about my camp. Finally, yesterday the pain relapsed and deardear took leave to bring me to SGH for check. Waited for 2 hours to the see the doc for only 10 min. According to the doc, its inflammation. Asked me to rest so he gave me 5 days MC. I was really shocked... haha.. Anyway, took the opp to stay at home and take care of my precious..

Actually, my mummy has been telling me that since I started working, he has been quite cranky at home. He woke up very early during the time I started work (as early as us) and has been making lots of noise. Dunno if its because of me or because he is teething.

Updates on Baby Caden:

1. 2 teeth on the lower gums and think that the upper gum's tooth is coming out soon.
2. Tita has been trying to pee him using potty every hour unless he is sleeping. (so we started using pull-ups diaper)
3. Started on some solid food like bread, tofu, porridge with pumkin and vege and carrot and fish, Zhui Kway etc...
4. Started on fruits everyday like papaya, bananas, apples, pears, kiwi (doc advised against it so we stopped), honeydews, durians (occasionally).
5. Has been pooing almost every 2 days once or everyday. (Tita has been pooing him every meal or every alternate meal on the potty.)
6. Has been eating 1 meal of porridge, 1 meal of brown rice cereal with milk and 4 meals of milk everyday.
7. Learnt how to crawl, sit, squat.
8. Learning how to stand properly and walk properly.
9. Been zooming around in his walker and trying to crawl out of his walk by standing on the side rail.
10. Have been bathing him while he is sitting on the bath tub. He tried to stand up while bathing him. (Tried to bathe him once using the shower hose in the toilet, but he fell sick the next few days. So we decided to wait till later.)
11. Has been helping po po, gong gong, papa and me to hold our wallet or wristlet or umbrella.
12. Has been blabbling lots of baby language which we are trying hard to understand.. Haha..
13. Been flipping himself in the sarong - dangerous act.
14. Been trying to 'jump' from one side of the baby cot to another by letting go of his hands - a成龙 dangerous act.
15. Called my handphone using my parent's home phone on 21st Oct.
16. Most important of all, he called me "Mama" which sounds very clear. Hehe..

Wah... So many updates of him.. Been missing lots of his 'first time' since I am back at work.

Baby Caden's new toy

Deardear bought baby Caden a new toy when we were shopping at Marina Sq in the evening. Wanted to go there to pay for cousin Chloe's bicycle. However, the stock is still not here yet. As a result, I have to go somewhere else to look for the bicycle another day. We saw a barney joyride and tried to place baby Caden on it. He seems to be very happy sitting on it. Thus gong gong took out a 1-dollar coin and put into the coin slot. The joyride started to move and he has so happy about it. Deardear immediately snapped some pic of him. Before going for dinner, deardear took the opp to buy some thing for baby Caden. After dinner, we went home and let baby Caden play with his new toy... Before deardear blowed the new toy up, we tried letting him play with the cordless phone. Guess what? He called myhandphone using the phone. Think he accidentally pressed redial. As a result, my hp rang.. Its a pleasant surprise indeed. After deardear has prepared his toy, he was so excited and started playing with it. He enjoyed playing with the toy...

Camp in School

I had camp from 17 to 19 Oct. Its a school camp and I had to stay overnight in sch on 18th night. Deardear brought baby Caden to school at 9 pm on 17th Oct to pick me up.

For the 3 days, I didn't really have time to company baby.. Went to school early in the morning and came back home late. On 18th night, I even have to stay over in school. I called home to check on baby. According to mummy, they brought him out for a walk. He fell asleep on their way back. However, when they are back at home, he woke up and refused to sleep. Mummy said that he kept calling "ma ma". Sigh.. I really missed him during the camp.

On 19th, mummy and Tita brought baby to my school again to pick me up. He was so happy when he saw me and I was so happy when I see him... Really cannot leave him for too many days.. Haha.. We went to Mac for lunch and then went back home. Wanted to spend more time with him when we got home. Yet, I was too tired that I slet through the afternoon and still feel drowsy when I woke up for dinner. Ended up didn't spend much time to catch up with baby. A thought kept ringing in my head for the whole of today - Should I still be a teacher???
