Baby's 10th Month Birthday

Today is baby's 10th month bday... Its also boxing day.. Deardear is on leave too.. Hehe.. So we decided to go out and have a good lunch..

We went to Takashimaya - Imperial Treasure Nan Bei Restaurant for dim sum. Its fantastic.. Even deardear loves it.. All thanks to Derrick who brought me there for dim sum before.. Haha..

After the sumptuous lunch, we walked around Orchard for a while as Tita needs to remit some money back to her husband at Lucky Plaza. Then we took a cab back home as baby was very sleepy..

In the evening my mummy bought Mac for us for dinner..

Baby's first Christmas - 25/12/2008

Woke up at 10am as deardear and I slept at around 3am last night. After baby Caden had his morning porridge, we brought mum back to Bugis to pray at the Kwan Yin Temple. There was so many people around so we had to pray from the outside.



Then we met up with my dad for lunch at Fu Lu Shou. We had chicken rice for lunch. After lunch, gong gong and po po brought baby Caden back to their house as he looked a little tired. Deardear and I proceeded to Bugis for shopping. He bought his iphone cover and was overjoyed...



When we went back to my parents' place, baby was sleeping. According to po po, he refuses to sleep until now. We waited for another half an hour and decided to bring him back home as Tita has prepared his porridge at home. When we reached home, I immediately fed him with his porridge and then put him into the sarong to carry on sleeping.



In the evening, Uncle Eugene and Aunt Rain came over to our house and brought baby out to airport for dinner.. After dinner, we packeted Popeyes back home for supper with Uncle Eugene and Aunt Rain.

Baby's first Christmas Eve - 24/12/2008

Came back to Eunos at 4 plus yesterday... Prepared the house for my best friends to come over for Christmas celebration.

At around 6.15pm, we met my best friends, Lishan Ah Yee and Weiling Ah Yee, at the MRT station. Deardear went to buy pizza, we went to get log cake, satay and drinks. It was a rainy night.. Had to carry Caden baby on one hand and carry the umbrella on the other.. Sigh.. The wind was so strong.. I was so scared that baby will catch a cold.. Lucky me brought his blanket to cover him.. It was a battle with the wind and rain...

When we finally arrived home, we had a sumptous dinner of pizza, chicken wings, satay and otah.. Deardear and I switch on our movable christmas tree too.. After taking some pic with baby and Ah yees, I had to put baby to bed as he was sleepy.. My mummy arrived at around 8 plus to join us for the celebration.

After putting baby to bed, we took out the log cake. Slowly savouring the log cake and red wine with Dark Knight movie showing on the TV... We even took some time to catch up with each other.. All the chats and relaxed moments ended at around 2am.. By then, we were really deadbeat... Guess we are old liao.. Cannot stay up too late.. Haha.. Ah Yees then took a cab back home...

Its indeed a peaceful and relaxed Christmas Eve...

Yesterday, deardear took back 2 bags of christmas present from his colleagues.. He decided to give everything to me and baby.. So we left baby on the bed after everyone has left and surrounded the presents around him and he was overjoyed.. Haha..

Po Po's 52nd Birthday...

Today is po po's 52nd birthday..

In the afternoon, I brought baby Caden together with gong gong and Tita to my mum's office to give her a surprise.. She didn't look very surprised after all though she wondered why we all come.. She even ask us to go back as she is busy.. Sigh.. Luckily I insisted to have lunch with her. At around 11.45am, we walked out of her office to bendemeer food centre to have our lunch.. Though it was a simple lunch with a simple surprise, I can see that po po is very happy to see baby Caden.

In the evening, I went to collect her birthday cake at Plaza Sing and at the same time deardear and I also bought Pizza from there for dinner. Tonight we decided to have a homely celebration. Bought some zhi cha and pizza and celebrated her birthday at home. We also invited eldest aunt and Chloe to join us in the celebration.. After eating our dinner, we took out the cake.. Its a mickey and minnie cake with wordings of "Happy 30th Anniversary & Happy Birthday". It was gong gong and po po's 30th Anniversary on 28th Nov. So gong gong wanna take the opp to celebrate for po po. As for deardear and I, we bought both of them wallets of the same model so they have a couple wallet. :)

Dinner at The Cathay to celebrate Po Po's birthday

Deardear chose The Cathay to celebrate my mum's birthday. Grandma did not feel too well thus did not join us.. We have also invited youngest aunt, eldest aunt and Chloe to join us. We gotten ourselves a room for a simple celebration. The restaurant waitresses are so nice, they even provided us with longevity buns (寿桃). Their service is fantastic too.. Maybe due to the fact that we are one of the few customers they have or because baby Caden is so cute therefore they gave us their best service.. Hehe..

Brought baby for a preview talk at the LNT at PoMo Mall. Po po and Tita followed us.. While the manager was doing the preview talk, po po brought baby Caden around the place and baby seems to be the centre of attraction.. All the teachers are playing with him. Some even took pic of him.. Haha.. After hearing the preview talk, I feel that its seems to be very interesting.. Wanna bring baby there for right brain development. Just waiting for the trial class to start and for deardear to find out more..

Its $600 per term (12 sessions). An hour of class each week. It will be conducted in English, Mandarin and Japanese. One language per week. Min 2 children per class and max 5 children per class. Parents will have to sit in the lesson and go back to recap the lesson with the child almost everyday.

After the trial class, we will then decide to sign him up for it anot...

Baby is better...

Brought baby back to Eunos home for a short weekend as deardear is working for the whole sunday.

Am so glad that baby Caden is feeling better.. He looks more alert but still as skinny.. Sigh... Hoping to put him on more.. Like his pa pa.. Haha..

Visit to Doc Ong once AGAIN!!!

Brought baby Caden to Doc Ong this afternoon as I was still worried about his fall. I called the clinic in the morning to check out what to look into after his fall. Doc Ong asked a few questions and everything seems fine. However as a kia-si mother, I feel that I should still bring him down for Doc Ong to run some checks.

Doc Ong checked on baby's collar bone, his chest, his spine, his legs, his head and his eyes. Doc Ong mentioned that he is worried about internal bleeding after any fall, thus he has to check baby's eyes to see if there are any blood clots inside. After all the checks, the result is... FINE!!! Baby is OK!! Though the consultation fee is ex and my dad feels that its unnecessary, I feel that its all worth it to get an assurance from the Doc. Thanks Doc Ong and the nurses of Aglow Baby Clinc.

Some updates of Baby:

1. He is more clingy now, esp when he is sick.
2. He will choose people to carry him.
3. He is able to call "Mama" loud and clear. Everytime when I hear him call me, I will soften.. haha..
4. He loves playing peek-a-boo.
5. He loves to play with ball. (Like his pa pa)
6. He will look out for Liverpool crest on his father's jersey.
7. He will stick out his tongue when we ask him where is his tongue.
8. He will also stick out his tongue when he sees someone sticking it out.
9. He will pull his ear when we ask him where is his ear.
10. He will raise his hands when we say hooray.
11. He will hit his head when we ask him to knock his head.
12. He will open his mouth to kiss my lips when I make kissing sound to him.
13. He will put his head near ours when we say "head head".
14. He will look for his own pacifier in the middle of the night and put it on.
15. If he is sucking a pacifier and his hand has another, he will spit out the current one and put on the one on his hand.
16. He knows what is a windmill, X'mas tree and fan. He will point to them or look at them when we ask him.
17. He loves X'mas tree and X'mas song esp 'Jingle Bell'. Hehe..
18. He keeps waving hello or byebye to anyone on the street.
19. He has jus started taking 2 meals of porridge today.
20. He is sitting with us at the dining table as we have brought his high chair back to po po's house. (Compliment from Uncle Derrick)

Review @ Doc Ong

Baby's fever has finally gone forever. However, I noticed that he has been coughing more often and sneezing more often. Moreover, he is beginning to reject milk. Last night, deardear and I woke up once in the night to feed him as he refused to drink his last feed of milk though he was sleeping.

Poor baby who looked so tired and skinny now...

Thus, deardear and I decided to bring him for a review at Doc Ong. According to Doc Ong, his chest is still chesty but seems to be better than the previous time we visited him. I mentioned about his refusal to drink milk. Doc Ong stated that it might be because of his difficulty in breathing when drinking thus he reject his milk. Therefore Doc Ong suggested to put baby on nebuliser to clear his phelgm a little. At first, baby rejected the nebuliser and kept crying and screaming. After deardear and I played with him, he got better. But think he missed the front part where there is most of the medication. Sigh.. Anyway, just hope he gets better soon.

After we came back, we put baby to bed as he was very sleepy. Then deardear and I went to the living room for our late dinner. At around 9 plus, we heard a scream from baby. When I rushed into the room, baby was sitting on the mattress on the floor and crying. I immediately carried him up and he was crying so loudly that his face seems to turn black. I tried to pacify him and check for any bumps or bruises or redness. I was so panicked that I could feel myself shivering while carrying him. But I know I have to be calm so baby will feel safe.. After a while, he calm down. Mummy took the 惊风散 for baby to eat. Then we did some thorough check on baby and realised that baby did not hurt himself. Luckily there is a mattress below and the bed is not too high. He cried so loudly probably because he is scared. Poor baby. I promise never to leave him sleeping alone in the room next time. Its indeed a scary experience...
