Today is the day whereby Caden was borned in Gleneagles. He was 3.17kg in weight and 52cm long.. My god.. He is so cute... When he first came out, he cried out loud.. However, after a short while, he stopped crying and started opening his big eyes to look around.. He is so curious about the things around him. When my gynae handed him over to me, tears started rolling down. I can't imagine a baby in my tummy for 9 months and 1 week (37 weeks). And he is MY baby.. As for deardear, he was there all the while to support me during my delivery and busy snapping pic and taking video of Caden. I feel like the most fortunate person in the world - to be loved by two most important guys of my life. hehe..
Talking of which, I am reminded of the day when I found out that I was pregnant. I missed my mense for 2 weeks. So I suspected something is wrong. However, deardear was in Malacca at that point of time. Therefore, I went to get the pregnancy test kit on my own. I told deardear about it and ask if i should wait for him to do the test together. But, I was too excited about it. In the end I bought a twin pack pregnancy test kit. I did one on my own first. And the result was positive. I immediately called deardear and inform him. He was on his way back from Malacca then. Deardear thought that I was joking with him thus he sounded quite normal. When he is back home, I done another round of test with him to show him. Then he started getting excited about it. As we were still not that certain about the results, we went to the clinic near our place for a check. It was then we are sure - I am pregnant with a baby. We were very happy and excited about. However, mummy told me that the first 3 months are the most vulnerable months, thus I have to take good care of myself and the baby. Days passed very slowly during the first 4 months as I having a hard time - I felt nauseating all the time, blackout in school, lost my appetite and felt very weak and tired everyday. After the difficult period, I was enjoying my pregnancy then. Everyone started asking if I have any craving, but sad to say I do not have. As a result, deardear need not travel all over Singapore to get me any food. Hehe.. Lucky he.. In the 5th month, we knew about the gender of baby - boy. Then we started our shopping spree for baby's stuff. I really enjoyed splurging for baby. The last trimester was a little difficult as my tummy is getting heavier (67kg in total) and I had difficulty in walking and sleeping in the night. I even have to take medication to prevent premature delivery as I have been having contraction starting from 28 weeks. Yet, I do enjoy my last trimester when he was kicking in my tummy.

Finally came the day whereby baby came out. At around 2am in the morning, I had some pain in my tummy. I thought it was just some minor discomfort and ignored it. However, the pain came every half an hour. I suspected that it might be the contraction. But I was also worried it was false alarm as it is 3 weeks before the EDD, therefore I did not tell deardear and tried to sleep. At 6am, I woke up to prepare to go work. Blood came out. I knew it - today is the day. I called school and informed them about it. Then I started sending out emails to my colleagues to settle some work stuff. At around 9.30am, the interval between each pain was about 10min. I ask deardear to prepare the bag and we went down to my gynae for a check. My gynae told me that I have dilated 2cm and tried to dilate it further to 3cm before sending me to the labour ward. It was really painful. At 11 plus, I was sent to the labour ward. My gynae strongly encourage me to take epidural. I was so ganho that I said no. At about 12 plus, my gynae came to burst my water bag as he said I have dilated another cm. I was in tears by then. Deardear encourage me to get epidural as he did not want me to suffer. I was sent to the delivery suite at 1pm. In the end, I can't stand the pain that I ask for epidural. The anesthetist came at 1 plus and relieved me of all my pain. Between this time till 4plus, I was watching tv show and sleeping. At about 4.30pm, the nurse came in and started asking me to try pushing. It was until 5.15pm that baby Caden's head can be seen. My gynae came in to help in the delivery of baby Caden. Finally at 5.36pm, baby Caden is out. It was really an unforgettable day. Happy tears started rolling out when I first saw and carry Caden in my arms.
