My school's 85th Founders' Day

Today is my school's Founders' Day celebration. As a chief usher, I have to be there early.. Sian.. Missed my son for almost the whole day... The whole dinner started at 6pm with guests coming in and ended at 10.30pm to make sure all my students boarded the bus to send them back to school. By the time I reached home, it's almost 11.30pm... I was so exhausted...

Managed to take some pic of my colleagues and me after a long day work.

Looking at the photos, I feel that everyone is so well dressed besides me... Like my students said, I dressed like as if I am back to work... But indeed I am... Sigh... Work work work... I must also clarify, I really have no time to shop... esp with Caden Teo falling sick recently and my tonnes of work... How to shop? So wear back old clothes lor... Anyway, not pretty wear what also not pretty lah... Haha..

Mild Bronchitis

Just brought Caden to see Doc Ong again though he is coughing lesser as the phlegm are still in his throat and can clearly hear them when he cough, sleep and breathe at times.. As any kiasi mother, I insisted to bring him for check with Doc Ong again.

Doc Ong mentioned that there is no phlegm in his lungs but seems like there is phlegm in his throat and is going down the airway.. He suspected its mild bronchitis.

Bronchitis is a lung condition that affects the upper bronchial passages. The mucous membrane in the lungs becomes inflamed. The inflamed membrane increases the production of mucous and starts to swell, resulting in the narrowing of the airways."

Though its mild, its still worrying.. As a result, he is put to go through the nebalizer again. However, this time, he seems to like it and breathing in more of the medicine. And Doc Ong has change a new set of medicine for him too. Lets hope that he will get well soon and not to go to Doc Ong again. If over the weekend his symptoms of "phlegmy" airway is still persisting, we will have to bring him to see Doc Ong again and rent home the nebalizer machine... Lets pray hard he will get better.

Caden's 14th Month birthday

Today is Caden's 14th month birthday. However, deardear and I did not really bring him out to celebrate as he is grounded for the weekend due to his illness. Moreover, he did not become better after 2 days of cough medication. His flu seems to come back again.. Sigh.. I am really worried.. Though he did not look sick, he has lots of phlegm in his throat.. can hear it when he talk and cough.. Poor boy...

However, I still bring him to LNT as the person in charge said that as long as he is not down with fever, he can still go for the lesson. Moreover, he was better in the afternoon... I must say that he was really well-behaved during lesson. Even there is more toddlers joining the class, he was not distracted by them. He was listening to the teacher attentively. I am really proud of him. Even deardear who was peeking through the door hole throughout the whole session agreed that he is very well behaved.

After school, we brought him home immediately. He pooed twice just now and started to sneeze more often. Sigh.. I am beginning to be more worried.. How to go to work tomolo? What a way to celebrate his 14th month birthday? Sigh...

But deardear and I still did a small and simple celebration for him by buying a small cake to celebrate his birthday.

Caden down with flu and cough

My poor boy is down with flu and cough again. He was down with flu last week. Has been giving him medicine for a week.. However, his flu turned to cough... So I left school immediately after lesson to bring him to see Doc Ong again. He is down with cough as there is redness in throat and his flu virus is still around.. Sigh.. Poor baby.. Has been coughing throughout the day and even at night when he is sleeping..

Hope he will get well soon...

Caden is very well behaved...

Today, Caden is feeling slightly better.. no more sneezing and mucus... Thus deardear and I decided to bring him for his lesson at LNT.

There is one more kid in the class, in total there are 4 toddlers. However, according to deardear who was inside with Caden, mentioned that Caden is very attentive and well behaved today. Maybe he is more used to listen in English and understand the language better. On top of it, the teacher is good at getting his attention... Moreover, deardear said that Caden is very good at attracting the teacher's attention too.. Smiling at the teacher and making funny action... The teacher seems to pay more attention at him.. haha...

So we have concluded that Caden can be very well behaved too if he likes it. Keep it up Caden...

Caden down with Flu

Caden has been down with flu since Thurs... However, Doc Ong was not open on thurs afternoon, thus I was planning to bring him to see Doc Ong on fri afternoon. My mum took leave on fri afternoon as I was not able to leave school early. But, Caden was better on fri so we decided to carry on feeding him with his old medication.

However, on sat morning, he started sneezing and there is mucus... Therefore, deardear and I decided to rush him down to Doc Ong. As we were early, there wasn't many babies... According to Doc Ong, Caden is down with flu and will need to be grounded at home for this weekend.

At 10 am, we are done with Doc Ong so we went to the restaurant next door, tang dian wang, to try the food. At the restaurant, I fed Caden his milk and medicine. However, maybe he choked on his medicine that he vomited all his milk out on deardear... I immediately bring Caden to change and deardear went to buy new clothes to change.

The waitresses was very nice. They were not unhappy that we dirtied the place and even make hot our food when we were away. We came back to our table with piping hot food again. With such good service, deardear and I decided to bring my dad there for his birthday celebration.

After our food, we went for a very short shopping spree as there is a kid's bazaar at basement. Then we rushed a cab back home.

In the evening, my best friends came over to my house for a gathering.. Been almost 3 months since I last saw them.. Had a great time catching up with each other.. Lucky I have deardear to help me take care of Caden while I catch up with them. They left at around 11 pm.. And deardear brought Caden into our room to sleep.

Mama Yen is sick again...

Indeed its an unlucky year for me... I am down again... Seems like I am suffering from anemia. Been having giddy spells and blackout epsiode recently... Dunno what is wrong...

Was on my way to school today and felt very giddy on the bus... So took the bus to Bishan and visited a clinic near my school. The doc asked if I was very stressed... He mentioned that its symptoms of new working mother who is very stress. However, I do not feel that stress that the doc was mentioning. He said maybe its because my body can't take it anymore yet I do not feel it.

Sigh... Another 2 days MC... Should I stay at home to rest or go to school tomolo?
