Baby can WALK steadily & loves kicking ball...

My precious is beginning to walk more steadily on his own. However, he seems to be very impatient, always walking fast thus ended up sitting down after a few steps.. He even tried to kick his small soccer ball while learning to walk.. Its indeed like father like son.. Haha..

Ashlynn's 1st Birthday Celebration

Today deardear and I attended Ashlynn's 1st birthday celebration @ Sizzler @ Suntec City. Would love to bring baby Caden along however he is not feeling well and I am also not feeling too well so ended up never bring baby along.

Was aching all over when I was preparing to attend the celebration. However, have to attend it as we have agreed to attend and its bad not to attend at the last min. So I popped 2 panadols before attending it.

Yet, I did not regret attending as the birthday celebration was quite a success and Ashlynn's cake is very nice too.

Baby's 1st Lunar Birthday & Valentine's Day

Today is baby's 1st Lunar Birthday and coincidentally, its Valentine's Day too...

Early in the morning, po po bought mian xian to cook mian xian with red eggs for baby. In chinese custom, mian xian represents longevity. I just hope that baby is healthy and happy forever. And of course listen to us too..

When baby wakes up from his morning nap, deardear peeled off the shell of the egg for baby to eat his mian xian and red eggs.

Then we brought baby to see Doc Ong again. He was sneezing a little and had some mucus but we were not as worried as compared to his wheezing sound he made. Deardear used to have asthma when he was young.. We are so worried that it will pass down to baby. We were at Doc Ong for about 2 hours. Guess due to terrible haze and weather, a lot of kids are down too. As a result, we had to wait for so long. While waiting, we bought baby around at ToyRUs to shop for 'toys', which we did not buy any. We also mentioned to buy baby's birthday clothes finally. After Doc Ong has examined baby, we were so relieved as baby is absolutely fine, just a little flu.

But we still rush home as we do not want him to get infected with any other virus or breathe in too much of the haze outside. Moreover, I am also very tired as I am still sick. After a simple lunch, we all went for a nap - for about 3 hours.. haha..

Then, deardear went to packet our dinner while I go and get baby's birthday cake. Deardear bought us the pizza valentine's set and I bought him his fav durian moose from 717 trading. After a fast round of dinner, we took out baby's cake and sing birthday song for him. Wanna him to pose for pic with his cake but the greedy boy kept looking at it.. Haha..


Finally, its late.. Deardear and I put baby to bed and we carried on with our dinner and watch "The Lakehouse". Such an apt movie during V day. Though simple yet its a fantastic family time together on V Day. I think we need not go anywhere nice or ex, just the whole family is together, its all that matters.. :)

Friday the thirteen

Everyone would have thought friday the thirteen will be an unlucky day... So do I.. esp knowing that my luck this year will not be that fantastic... for the past few days I was down with severe lost of voice and sore throat. I did not even dare to carry or play much with baby Caden. It has been a real mental torture to me. Worst of all, many things just happen during these period of time - friendship day sales by councillors (so I have to help them to source for cheap flowers and balloons that they intend to sell), 2 days shooting course that I need to attend and miss school, 4 days of losing of voice and still have to teach, some big hoo ha caused by councillors that caused me some lecturing from p, losing a red packet that my mum insisted she has passed to me(given by my second aunt) and so we ended in 3 days of argument regarding this and finally the big thing that has happened tonight(staff dedication service where councillors are fully involved which mean that I am into it too).

STRESSED!!!! Almost cried in school with so much things thrown to me. But me... being someone who never cry in school and in front of people until I am really down... I carried on...

Started off school with more screaming at students who did not do my work and talk in class. Moreover, as its total defence day, there is emergency evacuation exercise. This means I have to shout more when the alarm bell ring and my students go crazy by screaming and shouting louder than me.

Then have to settle the council sale of friendship day items and explain to p regarding the big hoo ha that councillors have caused. Sigh.. will have to donate all our little profit to the school... not for the use of council activities..

And rushed home in the afternoon to have a look at my precious as he is down with flu... Guess its by me.. Sigh...

Went back school for the rehearsal of staff dedication service and then the actual service. Didn't have much appetite to eat - partly because of my throat and also due to the fact my councillors are working so hard to serve as waitress and waiter, i dun have the heart to eat and enjoy myself. But I must say that they have really done a fantastic job in being a servant leader and make our guests feel at ease.

Finally, the whole event ended at 10pm... Thats the time I left school. Lucky I have a great colleague (Mr Derrick Lee) who offered to drive us (deardear is here too) back... Came back home and have a look at baby (baby is sleeping) and then went back to Derrick car as he drove us out for supper (as we did not eat anything for dinner). After a good supper and some gossip session, I felt a lot better. Maybe also because my mum told me that my second aunt has not passed her the red packet for baby's bday as she has made a mistake..

Its indeed not a bad friday the thirteen after all...

But.. not all yet... when we came back home at 12am, deardear surprised me with my vday present... Thank you deardear for staying by my side no matter what, hear me complain, allow me vent my anger when I am stressed, give in to whatever I want and provide me with whatever I want. I am really fortunate to have my parents who love me so much, my hubby who loves me so much too and finally my precious son whom all of us love so much... Think in the future and now perhaps, he will feel that same way I am feeling today... Deardear and baby Caden, I love you both... muakmuak..

In mood for celebration..

Caden baby's bday is coming soon and tomorrow is deardear and my 5th anniversary of knowing each other. Moreover, valentines' day is coming soon... So we are all in mood for celebration...

Though me still not feeling too well, I had to drag myself out of bed as I have to collect the cupcakes from Onicupcakes I have ordered on monday for our 5th anniversary. In the late afternoon, we took a cab down to Far East Sq to collect the cupcakes and eat our lunch at 周庄. Quite a sumptuous lunch however, i did not have much appetite for it. After lunch, we walked to chinatown to buy some daily necessities and I bought deardear his new Davidoff perfume (same brand as the one he bought for me, only that mine is woman's fragrance.) Then we took a cab back home as I was still not feeling too well.

We went home and I took a nap again as I felt drowsy after my medication as usual. In the evening, deardear bought me noodle soup as I do not have much appetite. After our dinner, we took out the cupcakes and the number 5 candle I have bought for the occassion. Deardear lighted it up and made a wish before blowing off the candle. Then, we slowly savour the cupcakes as they are not cheap and tasted really good.

Looking forward to more celebration next week and the week after (baby's bday). Booked the restaurant, his special birthday "cake", done the invitation cards and invited all our relatives. Just need to get him his birthday clothes, buy decor to decorate the restaurant, teach baby to blow his candles and prepare for the birthday favours for our guests (if we are getting them).

*yawn yawn* gonna sleep soon... just taken the medication again...

Mama is not feeling well

This morning I woke up with a teribble sore throat and a slight fever. As there is an important event going on tonight and I have some work to settle in school, I went to school despite of my bodyache, sore throat and fever. However, life was not so rosy in school.. Screamed at the students despite of my sore throat.. They are not sympathatic at all.. Have to climb up and down the stairs for change of lesson despite my bodayache and fever. In the end, I ended up looking pale and have high fever of 38.8. I cannot carry on anymore, so I told my P to excuse me from tonight's event.

And to add on my misery, I CANNOT CARRY AND PLAY WITH BABY TODAY!!!

However, its not all so bad. Deardear gave me a surprise for our anniversary. And he has also done an invitation card for baby's 1st bday celebration to be emailed to my relatives. We wanna keep it intimate and simple for baby 1st year bday celebration yet we wanna to do an invite for his celebration. Thank you deardear

Another CNY visit

Early in the morning, deardear and I went to 双林寺 to 拜太岁 as this year deardear and I 犯太岁. After that, we rushed back to meet my mummy and baby for lunch.

At 3.30pm, my dad came to drive us to my eldest uncle (Dad side) house at Bukit Panjang. Another CNY visit for baby as my dad wanna show my precious off to his family I guess.. Haha.. After the visit, we went back to my parents' place for dinner.

Another weekend... Sigh... Going back to school tomorrow..
