Started on LactoGG for Caden. Strongly recommended by my colleague. It's a premium probiotics which helps to boost the immune system, reduces the chances of allergy, speeds up recovery from allergic conditions (e.g skin & food allergies), protects the intestinal tract & helps to prevent traveller's diarrhoea & gastroenteritis in children. It also reduces the chances of acquiring infections in young children attending day care centres, esp. those who fall sick very often, like once per mth.

Went to the website http://www.lactogg.com/ to find out more:

What is LactoGG?
LactoGG is a probiotic. It is a special good bacterium, which has been proven to promote health in the human being. [1]
LactoGG's scientific name is Lactobacillus rhamnosus strain GG (ATCC 53103). LactoGG is the original, patented, specific probiotic strain isolated by two Boston scientists, Prof. Sherwood L. Gorbach and Dr. Barry Goldin, in 1985.
All healthy human beings possess good germs inside our intestinal tract. It is part of our complex immune defence system. When this good bacteria barrier is disturbed an unhealthy or diseased state occurs.
Once consumed, LactoGG is able to colonise the human intestine and form a protective barrier of' ‘good’ bacteria in your intestines and strengthen your natural immune defences. [2]
This product, LactoGG, is the world's most researched and scientifically proven probiotic. It is set apart from all other probiotic strains by the fact that it is the only probiotic strain backed up by over 250 scientific papers, clinical trials and doctorate theses conducted in leading hospitals and universities throughout the world.

Who can take LactoGG and how safe is it?
LactoGG has been extensively documented to be safe. [11][12] LactoGG has been evaluated in human subjects ranging from extremely premature babies weighing 0.86 kg, [13][14] pregnant and lactating ladies [15] to elderly individuals. [16]
It is a naturally occurring human good germ. There is no 'overdosing' on LactoGG. If you consume many capsules of LactoGG all at once, the ‘extra’ LactoGG will be safely passed out in your stools.
LactoGG can be consumed on a long-term basis.
Taking LactoGG long term does not mean that this special strain of probiotic will ‘push out’ all the other existing good bacteria from your gastrointestinal tract. In fact, the introduction of Lactobacillus GG (ATCC 53103) stimulates the growth of existing good bacteria so that the whole population of good bacteria increases in the presence of this probiotic! [19]

How can LactoGG benefit me and my family members?
(A) Improvement and maintenance of a healthy intestinal environment.
(B) Reduce the possible gastro-intestinal side-effects of antibiotics.
(C) Eases the severity of, and the complications from, acute gastroenteritis (infection of the gastro-intestinal tract causing diarrhea and vomiting)

(E) Reduces the chance of contacting traveller's diarrhoea.
(F) Reduces the possibilities of acquiring infections in young children attending day care centres.
